چکیده
Abstract The experimental work of this study deals with the performance pipe in sand various responses subjected to incremental static loading where backfill is reinforced two types reinforcement (geogrid and geocell) investigate effects cover. pipes considered are installed different densities; i.e., loose, medium dense sand, a constant burial depth (2D, D diameter). It was concluded that maximum deformation occurs at crown pipe. increases when density decreases. For equal 1.5 D, strain on by about 22.5% changes from 36.8% it loose. vertical stress above buried loose reduced 8.3% geogrid width 2B B footing width, while 22% B. When geocell used, percent reduction 62%. 28% 40% 68% used.

Investigation of Liquefaction Mechanism and Displacement in Buried Sand Layers
One of the most important reasons for damages during earthquakes is the liquefaction of loose and saturated sand soils. However, in many regions with proper soil specifications, the large settlements have been observed in the ground surface. Loose sand layers buried in fine soils are one of the cases which may result in these problems and as a weak point during earthquake can cause this phenome...

the present study sought to investigate the role of dynamic assessment (da) in improvement of iranian efl writing performance at different language proficiency levels. to this end, after conducting the quick placement test, 60 iranian efl learners were assigned to two groups with different language proficiency levels. in both groups each participant wrote two compositions, one before and one af...
Finite Element Modeling of Buried Glass-reinforced Composite Pipe
Two regional finite element (FE) models of a buried glass-fiber reinforced composite pipe have been developed at the National University of Singapore (NUS). The model replicates an arbitrary site whereby fuel is being transported through the 400 mm diameter line, and comprises of multiple components such as the valve pit, 45 degrees and 90 degrees pipe bends, and a service road consisting of th...
